Thunder split doubleheader with Royals

SANDPOINT — The Kootenai Thunder boys and girls basketball teams split a home doubleheader last week against the North Idaho Christian School Royals.

The Thunder girls lost 38-25 to the Royals in the first game of the doubleheader.

Christine Tupper led the Thunder with 10 points and eight rebounds, Kathryn Blair scored eight points to go with nine rebounds, Joyce Blair added three points and Katie Ployhar and Kathyrne Kuhn two apiece in defeat.

The Thunder boys basketball team notched a solid home win over Royals last week, led by Taylor Jensen’s double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds. Tayler Gould added 13 points, Anthony Gold eight points and four steals, Jonathan Ringhand and Ian Wheeler six points each and Joel Crosby two points in the win.
