Helping our students will make us stronger

We would like to express our support for the replacement supplemental-instructional levy which will be placed before the voters on March 8. Our family has been blessed to be a part of Lake Pend Oreille School District for the last four years, and we will support the district and schools just as the staff of Southside Elementary School has so greatly supported our children.

We cannot imagine anything more important than to invest in the education of our communities’ youth. Our involvement with Southside Elementary has shown us that this funding is a necessity. We have witnessed two years of state cutbacks forcing teachers to do more with less. In today’s competitive world, the more education we can provide our children, the stronger our country will be.

We know the Lake Pend Oreille School District is full of staff that is dedicated to the education of our youth. Thank you to all of the teachers and staff at Southside Elementary School for all of your dedication.
