Your donations help others build a home

| February 22, 2011 6:00 AM

To the residents of Bonner County,

The Idaho Panhandle Habitat for Humanity is a Christian non-profit organization that raises money and recruits volunteers to build houses for responsible low-income families. This venture is not a giveaway program, but an investment of many hours of work (at least 300) by the recipients to own their own home.

The Idaho Panhandle Habitat for Humanity, in the past year, has just provided two homes for deserving families. This program benefits not just one person, but a family (four, five or more) for each home. Bonner County has such a need, especially during these tough economic times. Because our affiliate has supplied two not one, homes this year, we need help to build our fourteenth home for a deserving local family here in Bonner County.

Help in the form of donations of dollars will give us the chance to provide a new home this coming year. Funds for building materials and the cost of the infrastructure are desperately needed. I know many of you have donated and we really do appreciate your donation. If there is any way you could help with a small donation, ($40, $50 or $100), we could help another local family realize the dream of owning their own home for the stability of their family. We have the ability to receive donations by credit card via Pay Pal on our website, iphfh.org or just click on the “donate” tab in the blue ribbon at the top of the home page, then click on the ”donate” button on the right side of the nextpage. You may also mail your donations to IPHFH P.O.Box 1191, Sandpoint, Idaho 83864 or call (208) 265-5313.
