Bulldogs tournament game against Moscow postponed

MOSCOW — Due to snowy conditions and treacherous roads, Tuesday’s 4A Region 1 boys basketball tournament game between Sandpoint and Moscow at the Bear Den was postponed.

The game is tentatively scheduled to be made up tonight, provided Moscow has school today, with another game scheduled for Friday night if the Bulldogs win.

If school is canceled in Moscow today, the games would then be bumped back one day and played on Thursday and Saturday. Saturday is the final day for district tournaments to be wrapped up state-wide.

Because they played more 5A opponents this season, the Bears (7-13) won a tie-breaker over the Bulldogs (11-12), earning a considerable edge with Sandpoint having to potentially make three bus rides south during the true double-elimination tournament.

The game is slated to tip off tonight at 7 p.m., and will be carried live on AM 1400.
