SANDPOINT — Attention local youth hoopsters in grades third through sixth: Sandpoint Parks and Recreation has overhauled and updated the popular youth basketball program to make it better than ever.

The league games will run every Saturday from Feb. 5 through March 19. Players will be divided into teams based upon their grade and gender with teams for 3/4 grade girls, 3/4 grade boys, 5/6 grade girls and 5/6 grade boys. Teams will practice once a week at an area school and play their games at Sandpoint Middle School.

Partial scholarships are available to help cover the cost of registration, but there is a limit of $50 per rec booklet, per child. Registration is $35 with a $5 discount available for city residents. Family rates are available.

A Sandpoint Youth Sport Jersey is also required for play, and they can be purchased from the Sandpoint Parks and Recreation office for $12.

Please contact Parks and Recreation to register at 1123 Lake St, or by calling 263-3613.
