Stealing wallet was the act of an awful person

| January 11, 2011 6:00 AM

As a fairly new member of this community, I have experienced many of the things that make it great … such as the warm and inviting smiles from “people” who work around town, and a recent untimely visit to “Auto Electric,” which treated me and especially my vehicle with the highest regard and care of my personal situation. Thank you.

I then was blessed with the opportunity to do the same when I purchased two tires from a local vendor and was given $40 too much in change. I, of course, returned the money with a warm feeling and a smile in doing right.

This is how I live my life. I am a single dad living paycheck to paycheck, but I do not steal, cheat or lie, among many other “nots.”

On Jan. 6, I dropped my wallet in the bathroom at work at about 2 p.m. and rushed back at 4:45 p.m. to find my rent, grocery, and gas money gone but thankfully my wallet just shoved behind the toilet.

So in closing thank you whoever you are for yet another hardship (I don’t have enough on my plate) and I hope someone reads this to you so you may realize what you are … and who you are. I will pray for you but only one time — tonight. You’re awful. I would have given money to you without knowing you if you were in need.
