CLARK FORK — D.J. Jackson posted a most unusual double-double, and Zack Klein drained four bombs from beyond the arc to lead the Clark Fork boys to a 65-31 nonleague win over St. Regis on Tuesday night at Clark Fork High School.

Jackson scored 18 points and grabbed a whopping 15 steals to go with five assists, and Klein finished with a season-high 21 points to lead the Wampus Cats (3-5), who recorded 27 steals as a team. Nate Nesbitt added 12 points and Stillman Berkley grabbed a game-high 15 boards and dished five assists in a solid team effort.

“Our defense picked it up quite a bit. Nate and Stillman pressured them (St. Regis) a lot up top,” said Wampus Cat head coach Corey Vogel. “Zack really found his rhythm and looked smooth. We’re getting those nice open shots instead of forcing it.”

Jerad Tippins led St. Regis with 16 points.

Clark Fork is at Newport on Saturday.
