SANDPOINT — The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce’s Business Development committee is pleased to offer the TGIF Workshop “Work Smarter - Integrating Technology into Business.”

The workshop begins at noon Friday at the Holiday Inn Express, 477326 Highway 95 in Ponderay. Covering a variety of business topics, these workshops are designed to provide essential resources and skills to develop entrepreneurship and the community’s workforce.

The workshop shows how to integrate all the stuff we use today — your computer, cell phone, e-mail, internet, phone apps, software and more — to increase productivity, organization and communication, whether you’re running a business or are an employee. Learn to make it all work together and get the most from the latest tools and technologies including upcoming trends and how they might change the way we do business in the future.

Colin Conway with Limey Solutions started working with computers about 17 years ago, when still in school. He started out just tinkering, and quickly found a passion for them. He learned some basic programming skills, and a lot about the ins and outs of MS Windows.

His career started as a freelance programmer, working for software houses and corporate banks in London. As the Internet grew, Colin started moving his skills toward web-oriented development. he worked for one of the largest European online advertising agencies for quite some time, keeping their advertising systems running smoothly.

Colin recently moved from England, with his family, almost two years ago. At that time he started a company, Limey Solutions, offering local expert computers services for both home and business, while continuing with programming work for companies in England. His business is blossoming and he is enjoying life in America.
