Public Hearing Notice is Hereby Given that the City of Ponderay Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, February 9th , 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Ponderay City Hall, 288 Fourth Street, Ponderay, Idaho, to consider the following requests:

File VR10-001 – Sign Variance: Ponderay Planning and Zoning Commission will hear a request for a sign height and setback variance for a property at the intersection of Highway 95 and Schweitzer Plaza Drive. The project applicant is Taylor and Sons and the business is a new automobile dealership. The proposed sign height is 36 feet where 24 feet is required. The proposed support setback is 3.1 feet where ten feet is required.

File SP10-010 - Special Use Permit: The applicant is requesting a special use permit for the construction of a single family residence in the Recreational Zoning District. The property is located west of Ponder Point Lane in a portion of Section 11, Township 57North, Range 2 West, Boise Meridian. The property is 0.65 acres.

All written comments will be accepted up until one week prior to the hearing. Written comments of less than two pages and oral testimony will be accepted until the close of the public comment portion of the hearing. During the hearing for this application, the public will be given an opportunity to provide testimony and/or evidence regarding how the proposal does or does not comply with the applicable approval criteria of Ponderay City Code and the Comprehensive Plan. At the close of public hearing, the Planning and Zoning Commission will make a recommendation, or take action that may include but is not limited to approval, denial, remand, or continuance of the public hearing. Following recommendation the request will be forwarded to the City Council for decision.

Public Notice of Grant Application

The City of Ponderay will apply for a Land and Water Conservation Fund grant through the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation to acquire a strip of property along Lake Ponderay for the purpose of permanent public benefit. The real property is more particularly described as a 3.76 acre parcel located within a portion of Sections 14, & 15, Township 57N, Range 2W, Boise Meridian, Ponderay, Idaho (Latitude: 48°17' 18.30" N, Longitude: 116°32' 43.80" W) and Bonner County Parcel # RPP00000146401A described as PT GOV LOTS 1,2, 3, S & E OF NP R/W; PT E2 SEC 15 Lying Between (Property).
