Thunder girls upended by Lions

SANDPOINT — The Kootenai Thunder girls basketball team lost to the Christian Center School Lions 36-18 on Monday night at home.  

Christine Tupper led the Thunder with 10 points, Katie Ployhar added four, and Kathryn and Joyce Blair each scored two. The team was missing Josie Saganski and Nikki Jensen due to injuries.

The Thunder boys team lost 59-22 to the Lions on Monday night at home. Jonathan Ringhand scored nine points, Anthony Gold and Johnny Soderberg scored four each, Tayler Gould added two and Nick Magro led the team with 10 rebounds.

Prior to Monday’s loss, the Thunder boys team beat Immaculate Conception Academy 51-41. Taylor Jensen and Ringhand led the Thunder with 13 points each, Ian Wheeler posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, Gold 8 added points, David Currie three and Joel Crosby two in the win.
