SANDPOINT — A man sought by authorities in North Idaho is in the custody of the Bonner County Jail.

Timothy “Bear” Grant Larson was booked into the jail on Friday for an alleged probation violation. Court documents do not specify whether he was apprehended or turned himself in voluntarily.

Larson remains held without bail until an April 7 hearing in 1st District Court, where he will either admit the violation or deny it.

The North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force asked for the public’s help last month in locating Larson. The task force did not elaborate as to why they were seeking Larson, although he was wanted on arrest warrants from Idaho and Washington state, court records indicate.

Larson, 32, was wanted in Idaho for failing to report to probation and parole officials in Idaho after being released in King County, Wash., robbery case.

Larson was on probation in an Idaho assault case when he allegedly committed a strong-arm robbery of an acquaintance in the state of Washington.

If Larson is found to be in violation of his probation in Idaho, Idaho Department of Corrections officials are recommending Larson be ordered to serve a prison sentence of 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 years, court records indicate.
