Sandpoint lacrosse team splits with Spokane foes

SANDPOINT — The Sandpoint Lacrosse club team fell to Gonzaga Prep 10-8 before bouncing back to down University 10-5 in recent lacrosse action in Spokane.
In the loss to Gonzaga, seven different Sandpoint players scored, including two from Parker Davis, as well as a great assist from Justin Wilkerson.
Sandpoint also put up quite the fight in ground balls, recovering 40, led by Dean Knaggs and Peter Vaniman with eight grounders each.
Led by goalie Riley Hadeen’s 21 saves, Sandpoint bounced back against University High. Paker Davis and Dakota Blaese led the team with three goals apiece, Peter Vaniman and Conner Griesemer added two each in the win.
Sandpoint’s next game is against Bonners Ferry club lacrosse.
