Poor drivers should show more respect

| April 8, 2012 7:00 AM

I noticed that someone hit the 2011 Toyota that I bought my wife as a retirement gift. This is the second time in a month that someone has hit it in a parking lot. It happened to my previous vehicle each of the past two years. That’s four times in three years. You add that to the five windshields that have been cracked in the past four years and it’s getting so I can’t afford to drive. My deductable is $500. What is it about Sandpoint?

Another thing, you can’t legaly turn from a side road into turn lane and drive down it until you can merge. It’s illegal. Still I see it done every day in Bonner County.

I’ve been here since 1973 and worked hard to get the few nice things that we have just to have them damaged by a few inconsiderate jerks. Stop hitting my car.
