Big tragedy in teen's death yet to happen

| April 12, 2012 7:00 AM

The big tragedy in the death of young Trayvon Martin has yet to happen.

In the next few weeks or months, many people are going to lose their lives unnecessarily because of the news coverage of this event. Ordinarily there are no more than local news blurbs when someone is shot. Two blacks, no story, two whites, no story, a white shooting a black and it goes radioactive. The news goes crazy, the haters come out of the woodwork like termites and the publicity runs amuck.

Florida will face an enormous problem if they don’t indict Zimmerman, with riot after riot occurring. Remember nearly 60 people were killed in the Rodney King riots. Florida knows this so they will likely indict him shortly.

If Zimmerman is found not guilty at trial that will also precipitate rounds of rioting and more people will be killed. The pressure to find Zimmerman guilty will be enormous and Hispanics may feel compelled to express their dismay at a perceived lynching.
