Plea pending in voyeurism case

| August 7, 2012 7:00 AM

SANDPOINT — A young Sandpoint man is pleading guilty to using a mobile phone to capture images of a woman in a bathroom stall earlier this month.

Josef James Lee Senesac is scheduled to enter a plea to one count of video voyeurism on Aug. 20, according to court documents.

Senesac, 18, is accused of extending his arm beneath the stall’s partition while a 59-year-old woman was using the bathroom at Cedar Street Bridge on July 3. The woman and a merchant on the bridge confronted Senesac, but he escaped.

Senesac allegedly swung a skateboard at the 41-year-old businesswoman’s head, resulting in a second charge of aggravated assault.

In an agreement with the state, the felony assault charge will be dismissed in exchange for a plea of guilt on the voyeurism charge, court records indicate.

Senesac remains jailed on the charge in lieu of $25,000.
