King of the Kongcrete skate competition hits Sandpoint

SANDPOINT — Attention area skateboard enthusiasts wanting to showcase their skating chops: The city of Sandpoint presents the annual King of the Kongcrete Skate Competition on Saturday, Aug. 18, beginning at noon at the Concrete Lake Skate Park (2102 Pine St. next to Travers Park).

Registration will be held at the park from 10 a.m. to noon, and the entry fee is $15. There are a host of different levels and age groups. Helmets required for all competitors, and knee, elbow and wrist pads are highly recommended.
