Bulldogs sweep at jamboree

RATHDRUM — Megan Rockwell posted nine kills, Kennedy Search 28 set assists, Hailey Olin 15 digs and Maddie Russo four aces to lead Sandpoint to three win at the volleyball jamboree on Wednesday night at Lakeland High School.

Sandpoint beat Timberlake 25-7, Lake City 25-16 and Priest River 25-21, finally getting to face someone other than themselves.

“It was good to play against other teams,” said Alsager, giving her team a grade of C. “It wasn’t a great night, but it showed us where we need to work.”

The JVs were impressive, holding the same three teams to single digits for a program sweep.

Sandpoint kicks off the season at Lewiston on Thursday.
