'Get it' to win chance for free gas, Kindle
SANDPOINT —The Bonner County Daily Bee is combining with local businesses and service providers to launch GetitNorthIdaho.com on Dec. 16.
GetitNorthIdaho.com will offer local goods and services at more than 50 percent off.
The best news for businesses is that working with GetitNorthIdaho.com will never cost them a penny.
The Bee launched an email drive to attract potential customers last week.
The response has been overwhelming — not only because people are always looking for ways to save money but they also are supporting local businesses by shopping at home.
Anyone who goes to bonnercountydailybee.com, clicks on the GetitNorthIdaho.com and registers before Dec. 16, will be entered in a drawing for a Kindle Fire or $100 in gas.
“The ‘shop at home’ message is important at the Bee and we know people want to shop at home when they consider all of the advantages,” said Bee publisher David Keyes. “We think the combination of saving money and supporting local businesses is the very definition of win-win.”
Unlike some of the national Groupon or Restaurants.com websites, merchants control the offer as well as the number of savings certificates that are distributed. There is also an online component to check to see if the certificates are valid.
The deals are sent via email to GetitNorthIdaho.com customers as well as in the Daily Bee.
There will be a new money-saving deal in the Bee every day.
