Bulldogs host double dip tonight
SANDPOINT — All six Bonner County high school basketball teams will be in action tonight, when the Sandpoint boys and girls host Priest River, and the Clark Fork Wampus Cat boys and girls hit the road for a doubleheader in Cusick.
The Bulldog girls (3-3) continue to play an up-tempo and high octane brand of hoops, and will look for the season sweep after beating the Spartan girls 43-39 earlier in the season.
The Bulldog boys (0-2) will be looking to break into the win column, after losses to Timberlake and Colville to start the season.
The Clark Fork boys have been getting huge production on the blocks from Axel Anderson and Tristin Bristol. Anderson had 13 points and eight boards in a loss to Coeur d’Alene Charter, while Tristin Bristol finished with nine points and 16 rebounds.
The 1A Wampus Cats were within one point in the fourth quarter before the 2A Panthers put the game away.
“We played good D, everybody was unselfish and we looked pretty good,” said Cats coach Corey Vogel.
The Bulldog girls tip off at 5:30 p.m. at Les Rogers Court, followed by the boys game at 7 p.m.
