Badgers defeat Clark Fork, 59-32
CLARK FORK — Joey Hazinsky stuffed the stat sheet with five points, seven boards, four assists and four steals, but Bonners Ferry had too much speed, downing the Wampus Cats 59-32 in nonleague boys basketball Thursday in Clark Fork.
Tristin Bristol pulled down 14 rebounds and Axel Anderson nine, as the Wampus Cats (0-3) kept the game close for a while.
“We came out and played strong, right with them,” said Cats coach Corey Vogel. “One thing that killed us was missing short shots. We probably left 20 points out there.”
Isaac Price, Josh Pluid and Evan Moe each scored nine points to lead the Badgers.
Clark Fork plays Kootenai tonight, at 6 p.m., at the North Star League Tournament in Wallace.
