PENDLETON, Ore. — Sandpoint junior Thomas Edwards had a breakout game offensively, scoring a game-high 22 points to lead Sandpoint in a 62-53 loss to Pasco on Saturday in the third place game of the Pendleton Tournament.

Edwards nailed 7-11 shots from beyond the arc for all but one of his points, and Matthew Burgstahler added 12 points in defeat for the Bulldogs (1-4). Sandpoint head coach Tyler Haynes was happy with the way his team responded after a lackluster 79-46 loss to Pendleton in the opener on Friday.

“We played a lot better in the second game,” said Haynes. “Hopefully we learned something that will help prepare us for districts.”

Sandpoint hosts West Valley on Friday.
