Plow schedules don't make much sense
Every day I drive Highway 95 from Careywood to Sandpoint. Lovely drive most mornings. Lately, I have noticed that since the calendar has changed to fall/winter that the county plows have been out several times. The other morning it was pouring rain, 35 degrees, and the plow was riding the highway. Not quite sure if he was dispensing de-icer, but his presence was there.
Most of those times it is cool not cold, car temp says 35 or better and here comes the plow, lights on and I am pretty sure dispensing de-icer. (I am aware that the de-icer needs to be dispensed in a warmer temp.) I ponder the reason why.
I know they have a budget and sometimes if that budget is not met for the current year then maybe next year the monies would not be as great.
Well this morning, the snow is falling around the Cocolalla area and the temperatures are now dipping around 30-31. All the way into town there is not a plow to be seen. Hmmmm. I ponder and think today of all days there should be a plow out there checking the roadways.
Can someone explain to me why there is no plow out on the day that appears the roads could be icy. Just saying.
