Chamber hosting 'Tots' drive at holiday luncheon

SANDPOINT — Area residents and businesses are invited to come celebrate the holiday season with the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce on Thursday.

The chamber will be in the festive mode — as well as conducting its annual Toys for Tots drive — at its December general membership luncheon, set for noon-1 p.m. at Panhandle State Bank’s community room, 414 Church St.

“It is our goal to welcome in the holidays and show appreciation to our members, as well as give local businesses an opportunity to network and have some holiday fun,” said chamber spokesman Mack Deibel.

In addition, there will be special, can’t-miss performances throughout the luncheon. All attending are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to donate to a deserving child to help with the chamber’s Toys for Tots drive.

Business owners who wish to decorate a table and promote their business are invited to bring a centerpiece to be given away at the end of the luncheon. Call the chamber to reserve a table and be sure to put a business card inside the centerpiece, Deibel said.

On a volunteer basis, Deibel invited chamber members and businesses to bring a wrapped gift at $30 or more to be auctioned off at the end of the luncheon. All proceeds will go to the Toys for Tots program. Those wishing to participate in the auction should contact the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce.
