Miller leads Wampus Cats in defeat
MULLAN — Kami McKinnon had 15 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Tigers past the Wampus Cats in a North Star League game at the Mullan Pavilion.
Mariah Miller had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Clark Fork (2-5, 0-1 NSL), and Lyndsie Kiebert dropped in seven in defeat. The Wampus Cats were outscored 12-0 in a pivotal third quarter.
“The girls just need to be a little more consistent. When we moved the ball well, we scored easily, but we had our moments where we rushed things,” said Cats head coach Dexter Vogel, missing two key seniors with injury. “We’re still searching for that leadership to come out of somebody. It’s good for the younger girls to have to step up.”
Charli Sadler scored 11 points to go with 11 rebounds, six assists and five steals for Mullan (3-5, 1-1).
