Wampus Cat girls fall to Stillwater

| December 14, 2012 8:00 PM

CLARK FORK — Mariah Miller grabbed nine rebounds to go with five steals and four points, but the Clark Fork girls could not match the height and experience of Stillwater Christian, falling 47-10 on Thursday.

Despite the one-sided score, Wampus Cats (2-6) head coach Dexter Vogel felt his team played much better than the previous game against Mullan. Stillwater’s point guard was 6-feet tall, while the tallest Wampus Cat was just 5-foot-7.

“We moved the ball better, had a lot of open looks, but the ball wouldn’t go down,” said Cats head coach Dexter Vogel. “They hustled, the passing was better and it was all based on movement.”

Clark Fork is at Kootenai on Saturday.
