Four Bullpups claim district championships

SANDPOINT — The Sandpoint Middle School wrestlers finished up their regular season recently at home against Post Falls Middle School, as the Bullpups went 28-8 in individual matches in a strong showing.

The Bullpup wrestlers went a combined 146-68 on the season. At the District 4A/5A Middle School tournament at Lakeland on Dec. 8, the Bullpups once again wrestled very well, placing 15 of their 24 entrants, with nine making the finals.  

Individual placers were: 74 lbs.-Damian Dalthorp-4th; 86 lbs.-Gage Sigman-3rd; 98 lbs.-Scout Nash-1st; 104 lbs.-Tanner Kohal-2nd;110 lbs.-Tucker Hall-4th; 123lbs.-Andrew Webster-4th; 130 lbs.-Charlie Crane-4th; 144 lbs.-Caleb Munson-2nd, Pat Kummer-4th; 151 lbs.-Casey Randles-1st; 160 lbs.-Owen Stebbins-1st, Brock Browning-2nd; 170 lbs.-Zac Alamillo-2nd; 185 lbs.-Alex Christensen-1st; Hvy-Ethan Fogg-1st.  

Randles and Stebbins claimed back-to-back championships. Stebbins compiled a 28-0 record over two seasons, while Randles complied a 32-1 record, dominating the opposition.
