Strikers Holiday Soccer Tournament action on tap

SANDPOINT — Area soccer players can get their winter fix at the Strikers 2012 Holiday Soccer Tournament,  on Dec. 27-28 at the Bonner County Fairgrounds. 

Youth play is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, while the adults play each night. U8 through U14 players may enter the youth portion of this tournament, and U15 through U99 players may enter the adult play bracket. Cost of the tourney is $25 per player, and is open to recreational and club players alike.

The tournament format is 5 v. 5 (includes keepers) with subs on the fly. This is a very fun and fast-paced game. The goals are 7X10 and the game is played with a futsal ball. A futsal ball makes an indoor surface play like grass. 

Registration forms are available at “www.sandpointsoccer.com,” at Meyer’s SporTees (Bonner Mall) and at the Parks and Rec Office at Sandpoint City Hall.

You may drop your form/payment off at Meyer’s SporTees (Bonner Mall) or mail it to Strikers Holiday Tournament, P.O. Box 70, Ponderay, ID, 83852. 

If you are unable to preregister, you can show up with your registration form and payment at 9 a.m. on Dec. 27, and 4 p.m. for the adults.
