BLANCHARD — The Blanchard Community Center is hosting a fundraiser to aid the family of an accident victim and the Blanchard Community Church is hosting memorial services for a crime victim next month.

A benefit lasagna dinner to help the family of Erin Likkel is set for 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013. The community center is located at 685 Rusho Road.

Services for Jennifer Marie Bosch-Swanson will be held at Blanchard Community Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013. The church is located at 26590 Highway 41.

Likkel, 28, died Thursday after being hit by a train near the Sandpoint Depot.

Bosch-Swanson, a pregnant 27-year-old, was stabbed to death on Dec. 18 in Priest River. Her husband, Jeremy, is facing two counts of first-degree murder.

Those who wish to make cash or food donations to Likkel’s family can do so by calling the community center at 437-1037. Those who wish to help the Bosch-Swanson family are asked to the community church at 437-2970.
