Murdock is appointed deputy prosecutor

SANDPOINT — Katie Murdock has been sworn in as a Bonner County deputy prosecutor.

Murdock grew up in Sandpoint and is a 2001 graduate of Sandpoint High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Boise State University.

Murdock received her juris doctorate degree from the University of Idaho’s College of Law in 2010.

While enrolled at the university, Murdock worked in the Legal Aid Clinic, assisting clients with everything from divorce and domestic violence cases to real estate and criminal defense.

Murdock practiced law in a private firm in Sandpoint after earning her law degree. She was hired this month as a deputy prosecutor. She is licensed in state and federal courts of Idaho and the U.S. District Court’s bankruptcy court in Idaho.

Bonner County Deputy Prosecutor Shane Greenbank has been appointed chief deputy prosecutor following this month’s retirement of Phil Robinson.
