Obama is really the 'occupy' president

| February 9, 2012 6:00 AM

I was raised in Sandpoint and, daily, read the Daily Bee. Sandpoint people will always very special in my mind.

Although some of you won’t agree, I thought I would let everybody there know my thoughts concerning the upcoming election.

Obama has been called “the food stamp president.” But, in fact, he is really the “Occupy America President.” Barack Obama came into office telling us that he wanted to radically transform America. And, to the degree possible, he has done it — with a colossal (and colossally ineffective) bailout plan and a revision of our health care system that will make us poorer and sicker at the same time.

The people in the Occupy Movement also want to radically transform America. They’re just in a bigger hurry that the president and not so interested in concealing their radical agenda. If we don’t stop them, the occupiers and the president, this country will become a place we won’t recognize as our own — a foreign country run by radicals and redistributionists who envy success and hate the idea of individual initiative.
