PONDERAY —  Three people have been arrested on local charges in connection with last month’s burglary of Pawn Now.

Christopher Robin Garlin, Austin Blake Thrasher and Jennifer Stephen Dunnagan are charged with burglary and grand theft. They are being held at the Bonner County Jail with bail set at $100,000 each.

All three suspects made initial appearances in magistrate court on Tuesday. Preliminary hearings are pending.

The burglary suspects are also the subject of a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms investigation because more than 30 guns were taken in the heist. The status of federal charges against the trio was not clear on Tuesday.

Ponderay Police have released little information about the burglary because of the pending federal investigation.

The break-in occurred in the late-night hours of Dec. 26 or the early-morning hours of Dec. 27, according to criminal complaints in the state case. Firearms, jewelry, currency, discs for video game consoles and computers were taken during the burglary.

Garlin, 18, was identified as a suspect through video surveillance footage from other businesses in the city, probable cause hearing testimony indicates.

He was pulled over during a traffic stop on Jan. 4 and allegedly possessed jewelry with the pawn shop’s price tags. More than a dozen of the stolen weapons were discovered in the vehicle he was driving.

Garlin and Thrasher, 19, are accused of perpetrating the break-in. Dunnagan, a 22-year-old who also uses the surname Thrasher, allegedly aided and abetted the crime by driving the two other suspects to the pawn shop.
