Vikings shut down Bulldog boys

COEUR d’ALENE — Devon Loy hit four of his five 3-pointers in the first half on the way to a game-high 19 points and Coeur d’Alene, ranked No. 4 in 5A, routed 4A Sandpoint 72-21 in nonleague play Tuesday night at Elmer Jordan Court.

Joe Roletto scored 12 points and Ty Higbie added 11 for the Vikings (8-3).

Jackson Olin led Sandpoint (6-9) with eight points, as the Bulldogs struggled to find offense.

Sandpoint hosts St. Maries on Thursday night.
