SANDPOINT — The North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force is seeking information leading to the whereabouts of an accused child molester who managed to give authorities the slip last month.

Nathaniel Robert Howell is wanted on four counts of lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor and five counts of sexual exploitation in Kootenai County. He is the subject of a $150,000 arrest warrant.

Howell, 32, fled into the woods near a home in the 1500 block of South Sagle Road when Bonner County sheriff’s deputies arrived to arrest him on the Kootenai County warrant. Howell was visiting relatives at the home on Dec. 27, according to a Coeur d’Alene Police all points bulletin.

Howell is a Caucasian male who is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds. He has hazel eyes and blond hair.

Howell was last known to be living in the Sagle and Coeur d’Alene areas.

The task force is comprised of members of the FBI, Idaho State Police, sheriff’s offices in Bonner, Kootenai and Shoshone counties, and police departments in Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls. The task force apprehends violent fugitives.

Those with information about the whereabouts of Howell or other fugitives on the lam are asked to call the task force at (208) 665-1471. The identity of tipsters will remain confidential and an unspecified reward money is available.
