Maynard scores 16 to lead Thunder to win

KOOTENAI — The Kootenai Thunder boys played lost 51-33 to the Grace Academy Warriors on Tuesday in Mountain Christian League basketball. Taylor Jensen led the Thunder in defeat with 18 points, Tucker Davis added six, Joel Crosby three and Shayne Jensen, Sam Silberman and Johnny Soderberg scored two apiece.

On Wednesday, the Thunder boys played Columbia River Christian Academy in nonleague action in Kettle Falls, winning 46-36. Jake Maynard led the way with 16 points, Shayne Jensen dropped in 12 points, Jimmy Soderberg eight, Tommy Blair six and Carter Reese and Peter Soderberg two each.

The Thunder boys are coached by Caleb Jonas (head coach) and Joel Aispuro (assistant).
