Thunder sweep Panthers

KOOTENAI — The Kootenai Thunder girls edged the House of the Lord Christian Academy Panthers 39-37 recently in Priest River, despite missing three players during recent Mountain Christian League action.

Christine Tupper led the way with 19 points, Nikki Jensen had a huge game down low with 15 points and 21 rebounds, and Josie Saganski added three points and nine rebounds to lead the Thunder girls.

The Thunder girls are coached Mel Jensen and assistant Tracy Jensen.

The Thunder boys notched a decisive 66-33 win over the Panthers, as Taylor Jensen posted a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds. Sam Silberman also had a big game with 19 points and seven steals, Tucker Davis added 12 points, Shayne Jensen eight, and Johnny Soderberg six points to go with 10 rebounds.
