Readers should seek new details for debate

Bob Wynhausen’s lengthy spin about part of “The Price of Civilization”, by Jeffrey Sachs, slants only a few of the points in the book. He does not provide the sources of the polls — and there are many that are unscientific with a purposeful bias — nor the professional leaning of Mr. Sachs.

It would be helpful to the readers of The Daily Bee to read the review by Robert Skidelsky, a professor of political economy, of Mr. Sach’s book. Keeping in mind the success of big government’s spending (investing?) of taxpayer provided dollars would also be helpful.
