Owner is searching for missing dog
On Sunday, Jan. 22, driving back from Bonners Ferry about 9 a.m., I hit an area of black ice in the Elmira area, around McArthur Lake, and my car went out of control and careened across the road and eventually hit a tree.
I was wearing my seat belt and received only lots of bruises, but I had my two dogs in the car with me and when the car finally stopped they both jumped out and took off. I was able to get my Yorkie, Nemo, back, unharmed, but his little sister, Hannah, who is a Yorkie/Chihuahua mix, ran east into the woods.
My family searched all over the area and so did the wonderful other people, who had stopped to help me. My family went back to the area before dark but couldn’t find her. She’s so little and so scared, that I’m very afraid for her fate. Needless to say, I spent the day crying and continue to today. I adopted her last August from Panhandle Animal Shelter, and I do love her so very, very much.
If anyone should see or find her no matter what condition she’s in, please call me. I do believe in miracles and I hope she’ll be my little miracle girl. Please call me at 255-8224 any time, day or night.
