Adjust timers for summertime traffic

With the busy summer beach season upon us, can someone explain why heading west on Pine Street to turn north on First Avenue the light only stays green for about 30 to 40 seconds while traffic backs up two to three blocks.

The timer on the light needs to be adjusted so beach traffic can move more quickly through and not back up. Someone in the Idaho Transportation Department has had to notice this and still has not done anything to improve conditions.
