Nye helps Team Laughing Dog in race
Julie Nye is the third of five women on Team Laughing Dog who will be profiled this week, as the team passed through Wichita, Kansas on Wednesday, as the 3,000 mile Race Across America heads east for Missouri.
Nye was born and raised in Sandpoint, where her love of the outdoor activities keeps her very busy. She is the office manager of a local real estate development company, and along with her husband Kevin owns the Outdoor Experience.
She took up cycling 27 years ago, and has been hooked ever since. She also enjoys skiing, yoga, sailing and golf.
The Daily Bee sat down with Nye recently to learn a little bit more about one of the five team members racing across America to raise money for autism.
