Host of locals to play in hoops all-star game

MULLAN — A host of Sandpoint and Clark Fork senior boys and girls basketball players will take to the hardwood one more time this year, as rosters have been announced for the annual District 1 boys and girls All-Star games on Friday at the Mullan Pavilion.

Ryan Schwartz, Jackson Olin, Maggie Kirscher and Jenny Van Ooyen will represent Sandpoint, while Stillman Berkley, Celeste Komanec, Brocklynn Thornton, Claire McMahon and head coach Dexter Vogel will represent Clark Fork in a game that features the top seniors from 5A/4A/3A/2A/1A teams in the district.

The boys game will tip off at 6 p.m., follow the girls game at 7:45 p.m.

A 3-point contest will be held at halftime of both games, with a slam dunk contest at halftime of the boys game.
