Local cagers compete in district All-Star game
MULLAN — Post Falls senior Marcus Colbert scored 21 points and was named MVP as the West boys beat the East 103-94 in the 26th annual District 1 All-Star basketball game in front of a capacity crowd at the Mullan Pavilion late Friday night.
Clark Fork’s Stillman Berkley added eight points for the West as offense was plenty in the up-and-down affair.
Sandpoint’s Jackson Olin scored nine points and teammate Ryan Schwartz seven for the East in defeat.
Coeur d’Alene High senior and future Idaho Vandal Deon Watson made 9 of 15 attempts to win the 3-point contest at halftime, then won the slam dunk contest.
