Legislation is simply bad policy, government

I read with disgust the comments by State Senator Chuck Widner regarding women’s health. I was very disturbed at how cavalier Mr. Widner approaches the subjects of rape and abortion. Regardless how anyone feels about abortion, this comment and plan personifies how too much of the leadership in Idaho does not respect women and does not respect the medical profession.

I would like to see some consistent principles on these issues. Our representatives cannot rail against Obamacare since it interferes between a doctor and patient with a mandate one day and then try to mandate procedures between a doctor and patient the next. We cannot reject birth control coverage to protect individual religious freedoms and then apply policy to codify different religious beliefs.

This is unprincipled, this is bad policy, this is bad government.
