Community support keeps KRFY on the air

| March 25, 2012 7:00 AM

At the board meeting on Friday, March 2, the board of directors for 88.5 KRFY passed the following motion: “The Board of Directors of 88.5 KRFY (Panhandle Community Radio) has determined that it is feasible to continue broadcasting into the foreseeable future due to support from the community, businesses, and volunteers stepping forward.”

I am a volunteer for KRFY 88.5 FM, our community-owned radio station for North Idaho. It has come to my attention that no announcement had been made in the print media of the above decision, so there you have it — KRFY is going to stay on the air!

Considering the response from the community, and if this response keeps growing, as it has over the past three months, KRFY has a very bright future and will be on the air for many years to come.

If you would like to volunteer or make a donation go to www.krfy.org or call 265-2992.
