Elect Broadsword to commission seat

I’m voting for Joyce Broadsword for county commissioner in District 1 because she has the common sense approach to our problems in Bonner County. It is not common sense to raise taxes during hard times, which is exactly what has been done by Cornel Rasor. Joyce Broadsword voted to lower our taxes in the Idaho Senate and we can expect that she will carry that sensibility to the county commission.

While I think it is perfectly fine to have a Property Rights Council with the right to advise the commissioners on property matters, it makes no sense to create another layer of bureaucracy in the form of a paid coordinator position as has been done by Cornel Rasor. This only adds more governmental expense at a time when our scarce taxpayer funds could be used for something that we need. Joyce Broadsword will work to lower county expenses and make sensible use of our tax revenue.

It makes sense that we would want to utilize Joyce Broadsword’s many years of legislative experience while serving in the Idaho Senate. It is rare that voters are given the opportunity to elect someone so highly qualified to a county office. She will certainly be an asset to the Bonner County commissioners.

A vote for Joyce Broadsword is a vote for common sense and experience.
