Keough is best pick for state Senate job

I’ve always voted for Shawn Keough. Although we sometimes disagree, she’s always willing to listen to me and to do what she can to help.

The most important issue for us is talking with people who hold opposing views. One thing Abraham Lincoln overlooked: you can fool all the people all the time if we don’t talk to each other and are unwilling to compromise.

I want to vote for Shawn in the primary. But this year I cannot, because of redistricting. (If that doesn’t feel like disenfranchisement, I don’t know what does.)To vote for her you must register as a Republican. There is still time: on election day or by filling out both an absentee ballot (due May 8) and affiliation form. The forms are available at the county elections office on Highway 2.
