Return LaRitchie to Northern Lights post

| May 3, 2012 7:00 AM

I am writing to give my support to Orin LaRitchie, who is running for re-election to the board of Northern Lights.

I first met Orin when he became a director of the cooperative 12 years ago and have watched him grow in knowledge of the electric cooperative industry.

Seven years ago, I placed his name in nomination for the position of board president, a position I held until I was involved in a car accident and thought it best that I pass the position along.

Orin has, and is, representing Northern Lights members admirably, continuing to grow in knowledge by taking classes sponsored by the National Rural Electric Utility Association in Washington, D.C.

Our board has elected Orin to represent NLI on various boards in the Northwest, including Idaho Consumer Owned Utilities Association and on the Co-op Energy Propane Co-op, which was co-owned by Northern Lights and Co-op Country Store.

Orin is level-headed, takes his time evaluating the many issues and opportunities that come before the Northern Lights board.

I am proud to serve with him to the benefit of our thousands of members and ask that he be reelected for another three-year term.
