Kelly is best choice for District 3 seat

| May 4, 2012 7:00 AM

Having been a marine deputy for the past two years, I can personally attest to the excellent leadership qualities and fiscal responsibility of Cary Kelly, candidate for Bonner County commissioner, District 3.

Under Cary’s leadership, the patrol operates in the most efficient manner possible. We are made up of 20 part-time employees. We receive a modest hourly wage, with no benefits. This means that the marine patrol employs five deputies at the same cost of one full-time deputy with benefits. As such, we have flexibility with scheduling, almost no overtime and additional personnel to draw from in case of emergency.

All mechanical work is done in-house at tremendous savings. An oil change, that used to take all day at a shop, costing $170, now takes an hour at the price of bulk oil, filter and one hour of deputy salary.

Vote for Cary Kelly on May 15.
