Rasor looking out for the county's citizens

| May 10, 2012 7:00 AM

Recent letters have faulted incumbent Cornel Rasor for his actions to protect individual property rights from federal overreach applauding incumbent Lewis Rich and opposing candidate Joyce Broadsword for their disdain of the subject. Few citizens are equipped to take on the federal government; all of us should be thankful for Rasor’s grit.

To see a government official willing to take on such a herculean task is quite refreshing. To see others condemning that official for both his initiative and his willingness to do battle is quite confusing … and irritating.

Although political campaigns are not always based on truth, re-electing Rasor addresses truth in government while preventing Broadsword from unleashing her brand of “conservative” representation on unsuspecting county taxpayers.

I encourage you to vote for Cornel Rasor. Also, the next time you see Cornel, tell him thanks for looking out for the citizenry of this county.
