Sexual harassment suit is settled

| May 19, 2012 7:00 AM

SANDPOINT — An out-of-court settlement has been reached in a lawsuit accusing a local dentist of sexual harassment, court records show.

Karley Ann Mollenberg sued Michael Durnin and his dental practice last year, claiming she was subjected to unwanted sexual advances and a hostile work environment.

A trial in 1st District Court was set, but the parties subsequently entered into mediation in an attempt to resolve the matter. Doug Phelps, Mollenberg’s counsel, advised the court earlier this year that “all controversies between the parties have been fully and compromised and settled,” court records show.

The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

Judge Steve Verby granted the dismissal on Feb. 16, court documents indicate.
