Long-time Idaho Department of Lands forester Bill Love recently joined the forestry staff of Inland Forest Management, Inc. (IFM), a Sandpoint consulting forestry company.

Love, who recently retired from the Idaho Department of Lands, has a long and distinguished history of working with private forest landowners in Idaho in numerous capacities.

“We are thrilled to have Bill join the IFM family,” Mike Wolcott, IFM vice president, said. “His extensive knowledge, genuine integrity, and friendly, outgoing working style will be of great benefit to our clients.”

Love’s responsibilities with IFM will include helping with all phases of forest landowner service and assisting with the company’s wildland urban interface fire mitigation efforts in Bonner and Boundary counties.

In his previous positions with the Idaho Depart-ment of Lands, Love served as the chief of Bureau of Forestry Assistance for Idaho, stationed in Coeur d’Alene, and private forestry specialist in Sandpoint and Bonners Ferry.

Love is a certified forester and tree farm inspector, and is actively involved in numerous organizations including the Idaho State Forestry Contest, of which he is co-founder and served as past honorary chairman; Society of American Foresters, Sandpoint Tree Committee and Idaho Forest Owners Association.

Owners Dick Bradetich and Mike Wolcott believe Love’s expertise will further enhance Inland Forest Management’s ability to provide high quality assistance to forestland owners.

The 28-year-old company provides a wide range of services to landowners including forest management plans, timber harvesting assistance, timber valuations and reforestation.

As consulting foresters, Inland Forest Management serves the best interests of the landowner while helping the client maximize the benefits and enjoyment associated with owning a forest.
